BrAun Forehead Thermometer is AWESOME

I received this product just yesterday, courtesy of BrAun and Inflenster.com. Luckily I've been a little under the weather and was able to 'test' it right away. I love it. It's accurate, it's display is big enough to read. The most awesome feature though, is the fact that when your temp is in a 'normal' range, the display lights up green. When it's a mid-grade fever, it lights up orange, and when it's an actual fever, it lights up red. I will definitely make sure to keep this around.

Word of caution, make sure to keep it stored at room temperature. I tried using it right after receiving it, and well it's freezing outside and took a few minutes for the thermometer to warm up enough.

The New House

It's been awhile since I've posted but I never really had anything to update about. This past month has been full of changes! We went from a 2 bed motel room (that we stayed in for 9 months) to a 2 bedroom house! We got a new car, Wayne has had his teeth pulled and is awaiting dentures :D Bobbi turned four and Austin has had a change in his diagnosis.

We'll start with the house. I think the best part about it is the huge yard and fenced in yard.

.Wayne favorite part of the house is his garage lol

And yes that's Wayne back there

Here's the rest of the house before and after unpacking.

It is small on the inside but it's perfect for a few years. I am absolutely in love with it. The car in the pictures is our new (to us) car. It's a 2002. I don't really care for newer cars but it is nice.

Now on to Austin. His first official diagnosis was ADHD and autism. He finally started to see a psychiatrist. First appointment, she took the ADHD off. After further testing she may also take the autism diagnosis off. She is seriously thinking he is bi-polar. So far the medication combination is working well. The school he attends would say no but I just don't think they want to help him. SO starting next year, I will be homeschooling him. That's all for now.

Starting A New Life

So we finally moved from the hellhole of a house that we were in. We're now living in a motel until tax time at the latest, which isn't bad, just smaller.

Austin started first grade this year and so far he is doing really good. He hasn't been in trouble and he's loving it.

We had a fun summer. We spent the 4th at the lake and he actually got in the water and had fun which is a complete turnaround from last year.

Bobbi, on the otherhand, well let's just say I couldn't get her to come out of the water. Here's a pic before we went in.

She's getting so big now and getting clearer to understand.

As for me, well I'm still working and loving life. I hope to be writing more posts now that I have a laptop and hope to also improve my writing skills.

The Isle de Exile

Is located at www.cafemom.com/group/116643. I'm sorry that I can't make it clicky at the moment. You will find most inhabitants on the left nut or near the booze. Enjoy :|

The Ending of A School Year

We made it through, and when I say we, I mean my son without expulsion and his teachers. Today is Austin's last day of kindergarten. I'm very pleased to say he has learned a lot this year.

He can count to a couple hundred with minimal help now. He barely needs his speech therapy anymore which made me estatic. He can now read simple books. He's came a long way and I am pleased.

Austin has made it a few months now staying in the happy box most of the time. That's a major improvement when he was suspended twice the first two weeks of school and a few more during the first half of the school year.

Looking forward to the next year makes me very excited. He will have a new IEP which specializes in his behavioral problems, not just speech. I'm sure he'll have a better school year. Now to go get him!! Yay for summertime!
