Starting A New Life

So we finally moved from the hellhole of a house that we were in. We're now living in a motel until tax time at the latest, which isn't bad, just smaller.

Austin started first grade this year and so far he is doing really good. He hasn't been in trouble and he's loving it.

We had a fun summer. We spent the 4th at the lake and he actually got in the water and had fun which is a complete turnaround from last year.

Bobbi, on the otherhand, well let's just say I couldn't get her to come out of the water. Here's a pic before we went in.

She's getting so big now and getting clearer to understand.

As for me, well I'm still working and loving life. I hope to be writing more posts now that I have a laptop and hope to also improve my writing skills.

The Isle de Exile

Is located at www.cafemom.com/group/116643. I'm sorry that I can't make it clicky at the moment. You will find most inhabitants on the left nut or near the booze. Enjoy :|

The Ending of A School Year

We made it through, and when I say we, I mean my son without expulsion and his teachers. Today is Austin's last day of kindergarten. I'm very pleased to say he has learned a lot this year.

He can count to a couple hundred with minimal help now. He barely needs his speech therapy anymore which made me estatic. He can now read simple books. He's came a long way and I am pleased.

Austin has made it a few months now staying in the happy box most of the time. That's a major improvement when he was suspended twice the first two weeks of school and a few more during the first half of the school year.

Looking forward to the next year makes me very excited. He will have a new IEP which specializes in his behavioral problems, not just speech. I'm sure he'll have a better school year. Now to go get him!! Yay for summertime!

Games of My Childhood

This post is a work in progress as I have asked others to their favorites too.
One of my personal favorite "board games" is Thin Ice. It was something like Don't Break The Ice. I used to play for hours with my friends.

My second personal favorite is Kerplunk. While still available at stores like Walmart, it like many other things, is not made like they used to be. However, I still intend to introduce it to my children as it is still a simple and fun game.

Both of the above games were alike. They both used marbles and the whole point was to not let them fall.
My other favorite game was and still is a gaming system, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. There's just something about Mario and Luigi almost all of us love, especially one dimensioned. My other favorite game was Mortal Kombat. My first kindergarten friend and I always had to play that game before anything else when I would visit him.

There's my list of favorite games of my childhood. Hope to add others soon. ♥

A Formal Introduction

As mentioned, my name is Megan. I'm married to my husband of 6 years, Wayne. He is significantly older than me, 19 years to be exact, but he is my soul-mate. We both enjoy music, movies, cooking, and working on vehicles.
This is Austin, our alternator. He will be 7 this year. He has autism and ADHD, however, that does not define him. He is silly, kind, cute, and funny. He makes up the silliest jokes, and his stories are out of this world. He also has severe behavioral problems which I will talk about from time to time.
Finally, this is Bobbi, our bobbers. She just turned 3 last month. She's very outgoing, loves to talk, boy does she ever. Everyday she is expanding her vocabulary more and more which is especially great since she is considered speech delayed. She's a very goofy girl with a heart of gold.
